Blackout blinds use a fabric with a coating or a dense weave that stops light passing through. They're what you want in a bedroom, a baby's room, a holiday let or a meeting room with a projector.
We make blackout as a roller blind, a roman blind or a curtain, in Farbelife blackout fabrics. Choose the colour on the outside that suits the room, and we'll measure the window so the blind covers it properly.

A blackout fabric stops light passing through the blind itself, but a little can still come in around the edges. For the darkest result in a bedroom, the blind should be fitted outside the recess and wider than the glass, or combined with blackout curtains. Holiday-let owners across Malta and Gozo often use blackout rollers with sheer curtains in front, so the room looks soft but guests still get a dark room to sleep in.
